Starting with Jimmy Carter entering the presidency doesn't make this terribly challenging, does it?

Not if you have any memory for US History.

Wonder if Dave made a last minute change in the year when Fogelberg's death was announced.

Between the Feats, CSN, Loggins, Steely Dan, and the promise of a Fogelberg track, we''re definitely exploring the sssmmmoooooother side of '77.

Jeez, how quickly we forget. Or me, anyway.

Anyone else think they've bumped up the reverb on Carry On Wayward Son in the same way several ZZ Top tracks have been sweetened?

Carry On, a major flashback from the winter of 1977.  My best friend John Harrison & I cut out of school as fast as we could one day, caught a bus, transferred to the Hampton Blvd line, and got out at the newly opened Peaches Records (kind of a midwestern Tower).  I remember it was bitterly cold, hopping over puddles of slush and dirty snow and trying not to slip on black ice.  I only had enough money for one LP, and this was the one I got.

Jeez, I probably haven't heard this Fogelberg track since the late 70s. The arrangement is a bit much, but BOS anyway. Nether Lands was pretty huge in my college dorm later in 77. If this isn't a DB bustout, I'd be shocked.

Big ol BOS to this Dan Fogelberg track.

Dave has only played two DF cuts in the Db era: "Part Of The Plan" in 3 '74 sets, and "Tullamore Dew/Phoenix" in 4 '79 sets.

I could swear we've heard The Power of Gold a time or two as well, but it must've come in the DB gaps.

Punchin' meat now...VHM Bill Conti, Gonna Fly Now.

BOMS (Best of Movie Set) Rocky Theme.  One of the best themes of all time, totally added to the impact of the film.

Nope, not under Tim, Weisberg, Dan, nor Fogelberg.

And leave it to Dave to slip an Eric Carmen tune in when he has the chance. BOS3, She Did It. (I want to say we've heard this before though.)

I always used to feel the same, but maybe we can do without for a while.  Especially to close the set.

We've def heard "Power of Gold", if not from Dave than from Bob or Ginger.  recently, in fact -- I remember saying it would make Eric Cartman's head explode (because it's 2 Jews singing about gold, har har).

Almost missed the set twice. Tuned in for Black Cow. Had a feeling we'd get Fogelberg.

Bad day today. Crashed my car on the way to work (no physical injuries other than the vehicles) and a lunchtime visit to dermatologist yielded 3 stitches. Yuck. Can hardly wait for tomorrow.

re: Fogelberg

Never really a fan, and the songs I remember aren't the ones I keep reading about in the articles.  I remember Part of the Plan and As the Raven Flies.  I think it's that one.  I just remember something about a bird, and I thought it was a Raven.
