BOS America "Lonely People". Been wishing for this one to turn up for ages.
-
Don't give up until you drink from the silver cup -- does "Lonely People" get airplay on Christian Contemporary outlets?
-
I BOS'd "How Long" last week as a retort to Gaz's dissing of Mr Carrack, but twice in one week is too much.
-
VHM KC&TSB, "GDT".
-
BOS, Pink Floyd
-
another VHM for Leon, getting LAAAAR-ger! This one turned up on the Klassic Kasem Kountdown on Saturday.
-
BOS, Pink Floyd
BOS #2 from me.
-
Good set so far, but I'm still waiting for something to knock me out. Lennon or KC are probably closest so far.
-
VHM Ricardo Montalban! I'd've BOS'd, but he didn't say "Corrrrinthian Leatherrrrr..."
-
BOS for Mr. Montalban and his Corinthian Leather, which he later admitted doesn't mean anything at all.
-

Yeah, kinda by-the-numbers for a Dave '75 set. His Xmas vacay must be starting soon.

Yep, exactly. Holding out hope for something like Miracles or maybe Mondo Bondage.
-
VHM Tavares, another one I heard from Casey K this weekend. But is it the looong version?

I dunno. Are you mad enough? Big and bad enough?

wow, it never occured to me those 2 songs are vaguely similar. Another one Levi Stubbs shoulda covered.
Sorry to be a crankypants, but not even "Tangled Up in Blue", the most-(over)played track from this LP, is doin' for me today.
-

You and me and Hootie!
-
Was really thinking Miracles would have worked well after that Anwar Sadad clip, but nay. Tangled Up instead.
-
BOS for TUiB, one of my favorite songs ever.
You and me and Hootie!
and a dog named Boo. OMG, did Hootie actually cover TUIB? *shudder*.

No, but one of his songs cribs liberally from its lyrics.

Did I miss something? it seemed to me that Dave cut the clip before he said "CL" -- I did hear him say "Corrrrdoba", tho'.

"I Only Wanna Be With You" borrows the guitar riff and acknowledges it in the lyrics: "I'm tangled up in blue, and I only wanna be with you", or something along those lines.

You musta got lost, because he said CL, clear as the nose on my face.

Yeah, I was wondering about that--I heard it, too. Narcolepsy?

may the Wrath of Khan be upon me!

all this Bull-(bleep) goin down: Annalisa's bonus is "Fight The Power", which woulda bee a BOS for me. But she seems to be trying to get away from letting "Fogheads choose" the bonus. Hrm.

Good thing I didn't send a birthday request Dave's way!

The "silver cup" is the grail, or at least a cup of Christ's blood (or so I've always assumed).
-
Baby baby, honey hon, me and you.
BOS
Do a little dance, make a little love, get down tonight. wooo hooo
This had me dancing this morning. Heard the set for the most part.
-
BOS for TUiB, one of my favorite songs ever.
Gets my vote too, and it's way up on my list as well. That last stanza, I've always identified with, more than I usually do with Dylan:
So now I'm goin' back again
I got to get to her somehow
All the people we used to know
They're an illusion to me now
Some are mathematicians
Some are carpenters' wives
I don't know how it all got started
I don't know what they're doin' with their lives
But me, I'm still on the road
Headin' for another joint
We always did feel the same
We just saw it from a different point
Of view --
Tangled up in blue.

Shows what I know! I'm just a bass player. ;D
