Thought you'd like that one.

I'm gonna predict the shoddy vinyl is Tin Tin's "Toast and Marmalade for Tea."

Wouldn't surprise me.  Ditto the Kinks BOS.

This is the James Gang trying to sound like Zep, isn't it?

Yep, The Bomber. And it leads into a news clip about a bomb planted in the Cal gym. How apropos.

I heard Apeman (BOS of course) in my car, and missed whatever James Gang that was getting in the door & firing up the laptop.  Was it "The Bomber"?

BOS to Blues Image, "Ride Captain Ride."  I don't know what happened: I didn't hear this song for about 5 years, and now I've heard it at least 6 times in the past 3 months.  Still love that opening; sends me back to 11th-12th grade, doing homework in the middle of the night as 3WS played in the background.

Figured that's what it was based on Mike's question.  TANC, my MP3 player served that one up on my drive in to work, less than 20 minutes earlier.

Holy hell, it's a mind meld: I had Aretha's "Call Me" on repeat last week!

ETA: BBOS, needless to say.  The interplay at the end is so killer.

Don't think so, but I'm working at home today, so I have the luxury of listening via real speakers instead of my cans at work.

BOS3 Aretha--now here's a not-so-frequent flyer!

ETA: Not a bustout, but played only twice previously and the first time we've heard it since mid-2005

Segueing from the National Guard into "Get Ready" seems a touch gruesome.

Here's yer dirty vinyl -- OMFG, the Wilbert Harrison version of "Let's Work Together"! -- This was a bigger hit in NYC than Canned Heat's. BOS4 for rarity alone.

Well, here's yer vinyl. An early version of Work Together. Canned Heat?

ETA: And as usual, Mike provides the answer. Man, Canned Heat sure didn't do much to change their version from this one, did they?

Very midwest-influenced set today.

I thought the Wilbert Harrison version was bigger here.

Nationally, the Canned Heat version (#26 peak) edged out the Harrison (#32). Wouldn't surprise me if WH was bigger than CH in SF; the Canned Heat version barely registered in NY, where Harrison was a Top 30 single.
