OMFG!!! "Surrender"--at long last! A first for the DB and certainly a rarity beyond that.

BOS1 to the boys from Rockford!

Mark sez it's "K", not "C", and I've been trying to remember to spell it that way.

wow, is this really the first time Dave's played it???  It's shown up in every other time zone, so it doesn't seem so rare to me. But a fab BOS regardless.

Yep, you'd think between its popularity at the time and Dave's penchant for Beatle-influenced guitar pop it'd be at the very least a once-a-year kinda tune, but within the parameters of the DB, this is the first time it's popped up.

This Joe Walsh tune has got be a bustout; I don't think I've ever heard it before.  Giving Todd a run for his money.

earlier this year Dave spoke about the special bin of 12"-ers at his first real radio station that was labeled "Kookers", and made a point that it was with a "K".  So I now that's how I hear it and abbreviate it.

not quite, but it's been over 3 years.  There are a lot of good tracks on But Seriously Folks besides "Life's Been Good" if you ask me.

Mike is right about "Surrender" though, and that's kind of hard to belive.

You might be confabulating it with "Indian Summer" which is certainly deserving of that designation.  "At The Station" has only appeared once in '02 & once again in '04.

ETA, oops my eyes are failing me,  Urth got it rigth, I just didn't see the entry in '05.

Well, it's no "Indian Summer" or "Life of Illusion," but we have heard it previously--three times since May of '02. (IS has been played 7 times since '04--none prior to that; and LOI 9 times since '02.)

their earlier stuff is quite nice, this was clearly an attempt to placate the record company. A lovely song called "Haymaking Time" from the previous LP was a NY FM turntable hit.
