But Gollum, the EVIL one, crept up and slipped away with her. And kissed her pineapples.

I very nearly started this thread by saying "I hope we can avoid Steam today". No such luck. One of the across-the-board Katrinas of all time.

"Ahm a MAN, yo."  This was a natural to be remade as a gay disco anthem.

Is this Chicago covering it?  It sounds very different from what I'm used to.

Someone should do a mashup with "We Are Family":

I a MAN, yes I AM and I got all my Sisters with me.

The organ at the beginning of "The Loner" sounded like Styx from Angry Young Man.

BOS Moodies.

I recently came across a link to Causes of Death of Philosophers, a very witty list (http://people.pwf.cam.ac.uk/dhm11/DeathIndex.html).

Since the song references Descartes I was reminded of a few (these are just from the D-G page):

Descartes: Stopped thinking
Darwin: Became unfit
Durkheim: Suicide
Einstein: Diced with God
Eliot: Eructation of unhealthy souls
Freud: Slipped
Galen: Lost his sense of humours
Galileo: Stopped moving
Gödel: Became incomplete

other brilliant ones include Abelard, Socrates, B.F. Skinner, Plato, Copernicus.

I may have posted this here before, but I've long envisioned "I'm a Man" as a mashup with "Long Train Runnin'" (and maybe some "Trampled Underfoot" thrown in for good measure).

I have a disco-diva cover of "Long Train Runnin" from the '90s by a woman named simply Nicole.
