And we're supposed to hear from Larry Craig.

In the meantime, cue the Springsteen--we've got Jenny on the line...

We just had an audio clip that featured Reagan and someone else (but I wasn't paying attention--work was taking precedence) and now we're hearing the Enz, Six Months in a Leaky Boat. I suspect I missed a rather pointed segue.

Get yerselves some radios, guys. Hardly ever lose the stream. ;)

Ick, Asia on now.

Definitely a bunch of saxes, including soprano.  I was gonna say vibes, but I didn't start wondering until it had already happened.

This was the single off Beat, the second album from the early 80s incarnation of Crimso.  Belew, Fripp, Tony Levin on bass & chapman stick and Bill Bruford on drums. One of the most powerful bands I've ever seen.

They're gonna stop Saturday nights, so you better have fun - NOW!  I predict.
They're gonna stop havin' the Sun, so you better get tan - NOW!  I predict."

ETA: but I didn't predict that weak Santana would beat out all the other exemplary stuff in this set...and from the sound of it, neither did Dave.

Segue of the week, maybe the month!!

I actually missed it the first time around, but hearing it now on the replay, all I can say is OH MY GOD!!

Not just that Dave dug that out (wouldn't be surprised if someone sent that to him actually), but Larry Craig sounded as utterly unconvincing as it is possible to sound.

As I said yesterday -- the clip made it clear his name hadn't been mentioned (in fact no one's names had been made public), yet he felt compelled to issue a denial anyway!   And of course it was right after that, that this "lifelong batchelor" suddenly got married to a woman with 2 kids and acquired ready-made family values. Sheesh.
