This is a classic from '03, that's in the Db, but not archived.  Well worth the effort if we can convince Urth to get it for us.

indeed, one of the least-played Beatle tracks. Isn't it one of Gaz's least-favorite as well?

Speaking of Beatles, I saw "Across the Universe" the other day and was mostly very disappointed... didn't work for me much at all.

Just wondering if anyone else has seen it and has comments?

A bunch of songs in this set appear in theme sets more than in 1970: Green Eyed Lady & Into The Mystic in St. Pat's sets, Tyrone Davis in Time sets.

Tyrone Davis -- not to be confused with Tyrone Shoelaces!

Thanks, excellent review.  I'm glad you're of a "like opinion".
I found the Movie Thread, after a bit of 10@10 searching, and being a big movie fan I'm planning to check out this site a bit more thoroughly when I have time.

Definitely agreed with your review, including the high points, although I would add the hospital scene with multiple Salma Hayaks to my *very* short list of scenes which I enjoyed.  And yes the stage-like set pieces were ok and reminded me that Julie Taymor actually *does* have talent, although that wasn't obvious from this film...

I loved the Simpsons parody of her Lion King stage production, "The Itchy & Scratchy Musical".  Genius.

Way cool bonus:  Band of Gypsys, "Them Changes."  Would have preferred "Machine Gun," but you can't have everything.

that would be the fPod? Guy I work with just got the iPod touch. Wow. I played with it yesterday and it was amazing. You make an up and down motion on it, like an expand motion and the text gets larger. Very cool stuff. I'm not rushing out to get one but wow.

So, Rod, how has your nano worked out?  I just saw one for the first time in the flesh (well, plastic) on Tuesday, and it seemed like a mind-blowing combination of tiny with video.  Very ethereal indeed.

Alas, not to be. Didn't get home last night til the set was just ending, and when I turned on the radio this am, caught the end of Victoria. Oh well. If it was a classic once, it'll likely be a classic again.
