TANC:Rob played it last week, but I can't remember the last time Dave did.  (oops it's "blown you", not "flown you")

VHM BTO, lettin' it ride.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure we have. Dave likes Quadrophenia a lot--we've heard several different cuts from it, iirc.

I've never heard that one before.  I don't know if I've ever heard the NY Dolls before.  And here comes Lou, or is this VU?  Awesome variety in this set.

It's a NY Heroin rock twofer--Sweet Lou, Satellite of Love. Not sure if this is a bustout, but safe to say the Dolls tune was.

Harry Mark and John say we've heard SOL before -- but not very often. And the Dolls, yeah, MAJOR bustout.

Never a complaint for Senor Preston, and how many rock songs have melodica in 'em? (outside of Stevie Wonder tunes, anyway...)

Indeed... the obvious choice for a Dolls bustout woulda been "Personality Crisis" but leave it to Dave to fool us all.  BOS5 Mott! This really IS the best '73 set ever.  "Some spade said 'rock'n'rollers -- you're all the same'"

We heard the Hooters entry in this category twice last Friday.

Little Willy qualifies as the biggest Blast From the Past for me.  I think I still have this 45, with "Blockbuster" on the flip side.

Was just reading up on Ronson to find out when he died (turns out it was in '93--a good bit longer than five years ago) and found out he produced Morrissey's Your Arsenal album--I had no idea.

And even more of a "what da funk" revelation: Ronson played guitar, sang some backing vocals, and did string arrangements on the Pure Prairie League's Bustin' Out album--who knew? So he could well be heard on Fallin' In and Out of Love/Amie.

Amazing fun fact: only 4 of the 10 songs in this set were Top 40 singles; the rest were LP cuts and/or singles that weren't hits.
