Pin those danish rolls to your ears and cue up the Star Wars clips!

after lunch, at precisely 1:59 and 26 seconds everyone should draw a circle and bisect it.

I think the princess is the only bisect-ual here...

Pi is the ratio of a circle to it's diameter. the numerical value of Pi is 3.1415926.....
today is 3-14.
so on 3-14, at 1:59 and 26 seconds, draw a circle and then draw the line cutting it in half (bisecting it) which gives you the diameter.
math geeks will enjoy auspicious good luck if they do so.

i see. is the idea to biset a circle at 1:59:26 yours?
there are as many ways to interpret the exactness of pi day as there are digits following the decimal...now, tomorrow is a holiday. it's much easier to fear something than it is to worship an imprecise precision.
:)

we've just set a record for most postings for a set that hasn't started.
And here's "Heroes" -- a '77 bonus track before the fact.

Yes, that was just my sudden inspiration.
But how do you celebrate March 15th? Put on some Ides of March record and eat a Caesar Salad by repeatedly stabbing into it with a steak knife while watching the adventures of Popeye?

Monday ... welcome to the working week.
It works. I'd almost always rather hear Alison.

"Shadow Captain", Mark -- what were the odds?

You have to watch Popeye so that you can hear someone talking to a Brutus. But you're right, we need some blood on the Caesar.
So watcha doin' fer lunch tomorrow?

Now's as good a time as any to ask: Did Brutus at some point have his name changed to Bluto? Or have I had the name wrong all these years?
-
Holy Shit! "Drivin' While Blind"
BOS just for the shock value of hearing ZZ Top on 10@10

Is St. Patrick's Day an all-Irish set? An all-green set? I suspect the former since Dave can't bring himself to pass up a chance to play U2, but have you heard anything?
-
Now's as good a time as any to ask: Did Brutus at some point have his name changed to Bluto? Or have I had the name wrong all these years?
nope, Bluto was John Belushi's character in Animal House.

We hear Top often enough but this song is a definite 10@10 breakout.
At my college station we had a PSA for the Eye Bank... and we'd inevitably play it followed by this song (or "Doctor My Eyes")
-
Only 1:17 by my clock and we're already on tune #6. Yikes!
Speaking of Yikes, who's doing this "I Haven't Stopped Dancing Yet" song? I can almost see the coke spilling onto the mixing board.
-
BOS Gonzalez -- "Haven't Stopped dancin' Yet" !! a lost disco nugget.
-

Bluto was Popeyes original nemesis. I think Brutus came much later.

Sorry I'm late. Hi, everybody!
PS: re Popeye: Bluto was Bluto and then became Brutus. Why? I dunno.

WOS to "He Knew." Just a little too corny for my tastes, and a little obvious too (did they think the Xian component was veiled?).
Freddie, on the other hand, knew more than me or you.

Somebody, (Somebody), Somebody, (Somebody)...
BOS 2 for Queen!

vhm to the queen choir, playing quite nicely with meter.

When I was little my Dad would pack the fam in the car and we'd go to the drive-in movies. I remember when we saw Smokey & the Bandit. Ah, good times. We laughed like hell (for better or worse- my parents had given up on trying to keep profanity out of our young lives).

Hey Y'all it's March Madness time, go to KFOG to enter your picks. Unlike the football pool this is an all-at-once thing, fill out a complete bracket one time & then you're done.

Find me Somebody to Love who Makes Lovin' Fun!
And I second Gaz's Kansas WOS.

VHM to the lovely Ms. Perfect. Her entire body of work is a study in restraint; I wonder if she ever did a freakout song.

March Madness = oodles and boodles (maybe even poodles) of lost productivity in the workplace!
And speaking of, I must force myself to limit my activity from here on in (Yes, I know I've said that before, but work truly sucks right now.) So I'm off to CG for some silent listening.

Gonzalez's "Haven't Stopped Dancin' Yet" is NOT from '77 -- was released in late '78 and charted in early '79. So I guess I have to rescind my BOS vote.
