London's Calling, but it's Touch & Go...
-
Date specific, Dave sez.
Clash are trying to ring London.
And now the Cars are playing touch and go. Wish they'd just go.

Hear hear. Fucking Cars.

WOS2 to "Alabama Getaway." Not looking promising. I'll hold out vague hope for Hall & Oates. (Heaven 17 was a year later, huh?)
-
Alicata Getaway. My kingdom for a bustout!

2 years later.
BOS MJ, who really was "Off the Wall".
-
BOS to MJ and the song I used to think was "Enjoy Yourself." Wasn't he supposed to go back into the studio with Will.I.Am of Black Eyed Peas this year? You'd think he'd want to, you know, earn some money ...
-
Lazy John recycles "Cry Baby Cry" lyrics for "Cleanup Time." At least there's no "Three Blind Mice" melody guiding it.
-
BOS to Dr. Winston O'Boogie, Cleanup Time. If not a bustout then surely a rarity.
-
BOS2 John -- one ya rarely hear from DF.
-
from John to Jon -- with or without Vangelis? VHM either way.
-
BOS3 U2.
-
BOS4 Mr Palmer, Got to Give it Up, er, Looking For Clues.
-
BOS Looking for Clues
-
Big BOS to a pome from ancient Rome about a dog who found two bones.
-
BOS2, Robert Palmer; BOS3 Devo's Freedom of Choice.
-
OMFG! BOS5 Devo!!! "Freedom of Choice" -- a bustout?

Yup, according to my version of the Shraytabase.
-
Heard the last 80% of the set driving in late following a dental appt.
Did anyone else notice the similarity between the "Uh-uh-uh's" of the Listerene commercial and the opening chords of the U2 song that immediately followed it?
-
LOL! "Private Idaho" bonus -- dedicated to Senator Craig.
"watch out for signs that say 'Hidden men's rooms'"

first the obligatory Cars Bash, and without taking another breath...

Hear hear. Fucking Cars.
Flying like a semen, er, cee-ment kite.
Sadly, the 2 best sets of the week, '67 & '71, were #'s 1 & 2 in the marathon. We're closing out with '80 as I type this.

Not sad for me, got up at 6:30 to pack the car for a weekend camping in the mountains, so got to hear exactly those two sets before we drove out of range.

Well, lucky for you! But it seems that generally, KFOG feels the target demo (the folks who care more about '80s sets than late '60s) sleep-in on Sat.

I would hasten to dissuade them of that--I generally sleep til about 9 on Saturdays, and am usually rewarded with disappointment when I turn on the radio.
