Date specific, Dave sez.

Clash are trying to ring London.

WOS2 to "Alabama Getaway."  Not looking promising.  I'll hold out vague hope for Hall & Oates.  (Heaven 17 was a year later, huh?)

BOS to MJ and the song I used to think was "Enjoy Yourself."  Wasn't he supposed to go back into the studio with Will.I.Am of Black Eyed Peas this year?  You'd think he'd want to, you know, earn some money ...

Lazy John recycles "Cry Baby Cry" lyrics for "Cleanup Time."  At least there's no "Three Blind Mice" melody guiding it.

Heard the last 80% of the set driving in late following a dental appt.

Did anyone else notice the similarity between the "Uh-uh-uh's" of the Listerene commercial and the opening chords of the U2 song that immediately followed it?

Flying like a semen, er, cee-ment kite.

Sadly, the 2 best sets of the week, '67 & '71, were #'s 1 & 2 in the marathon.  We're closing out with '80 as I type this.

Not sad for me, got up at 6:30 to pack the car for a weekend camping in the mountains, so got to hear exactly those two sets before we drove out of range.

Well, lucky for you!  But it seems that generally, KFOG feels the target demo (the folks who care more about '80s sets than late '60s) sleep-in on Sat.

I would hasten to dissuade them of that--I generally sleep til about 9 on Saturdays, and am usually rewarded with disappointment when I turn on the radio.
