And Every Time I Think of '79--I think Nick Lowe and Dave Edmunds.

But it's the Babys for now...

Song #2--Sniff'n the Driver's Seat--not Lowe or Edmunds but we can see them from here. Other brit-pop likelies: Ian Gomm, Bram Tchaikovsky, Fab Poos. And we could yet hear I Do The Rock--one hopes.

Has Dave EVER played the Fab Poos? I think not -- they certainly aren't in the Lowe/Edmunds/Sniff category if he has.

But I could use some Tim Curry this morning.

BOS Straits in the meantime.

Continually means "ongoing" while continuously means "constant"--differing degrees. I'd go with the former.

That'll be five dollars.

You got me curious, so I checked on dictionary.com ...
They're very close, but continuously refers more to "at every point" whereas continually is "at every moment".

even tho' I just dissed "Goodbye Stranger", you may be right, since most of these tracks were singles, pretty much, except for the Dire Straits.

Oh wait --Parallel Lines is a damn fine LP too, and much less pretentious.

I thought the Delbert McClinton song Giving It Up for Your Love was from 1980-1981. I think it charted in early 1981. I didn't listen to today's set so I don't know if it's the same song as the 1980 version or perhaps his album was released in 1979.

You are correct, sir!  It charted in late '80 and peaked in early '81. I've no idea if the LP was orig a '79 release. Good call!

Dave prefaced the replay with "possibly the best set of the week" -- I'd say it's a dead heat between this and '73 (which was up first today; hope Alicat was up early).  Any week in which I get to hear Tim Curry *4 times* (3 "I Do the Rock" plays and a "Time Warp" from Ginger) is a good week.
