Journey certainly made it easy to peg the year even though I missed the intro.

"Dance (Disco Heat)".

VHM Clapton, "Tulsa Time", tho' I prefer the Don Williams version.

So far the VH and Sylvester are the closest I'd pick to a BOS, but nothing I'm behind with unqualified enthusiasm.

Certainly not "Kiss You All Over."

Indeed it's kind of a "meh" set -- which is better than a "feh" set, but still...

and it gets closer to "feh" with the Cars"

Squeeze's Goodbye Girl, a strong DaveFave, but still no strong BOS candidates.

Well, I'll give a sentimental BOS for Squeeze since I saw them last night.  An excellent show.

VHM Animal House, which reminds me that SuperBad opens Friday, and it's supposed to be hilarious.

Were both Difford and Tilbrook in attendance? Last time I saw Squeeze, Chris D. had gone off the deep end and checked into rehab, so it was Glenn and a backing band. Still pretty great.

And how were Fountains of Wayne?

I may be in a significant minority, but BOS2 to Fake Reggae.

They were all there.  I had expected there to be more balance between D&T, but this is really Tillbrook's band.  He played all the lead guitar and sang lead on all but one song (Cool for Cats).  He was, however, excellent in both voice and guitarage.

Fountains of Wayne were really good too, and well-received by the crowd.  I only know a couple songs by them, and they played only one (Stacy's Mom).

I pegged this as one of THE major Katrinas in '78; I think Mark disagreed at the time, but good gawd we seem to hear this a HELL of a lot.

It just occurred to me that today's '78 set would've been a perfect excuse to play "Paradise By the Dashboard Light", given that Phil Rizzuto died yesterday. (it's also "legal" in '77)

Yeah, when we were on vacation, we heard the announcer do that riff on Tulsa Time, and now the golf world is on Tiger Time.

Still no set list, this could screw up my archive, and I won't be here on Saturday.

Had been at SFO picking up my kids (who'd spent the previous 2  months at grandma's) and heard a little of the replay driving home last night.  At one point Christina decided that it was too noisy with the boys jabbering and Zevon singing about Werewolves, so she flipped over to KKSF.  But Gabriel, my 5-yr-old, said, "No mama, 104.  Put it back to 104."  So she did.

I tell ya, my heart almost burst with pride!
