I woke up to Dave Alvin's cover of that song on KPIG this morning.

Cover? Well, I suppose the X version was released first, but since Dave wrote it (he was a part-time member of X at the time), I can't quite consider it a cover. But a great song in any case. Happy 4th, gang!!
