was just humming this song yesterday, after hearing "Born On The Bayou" & thinking of the other songs in the M3S list of songs mentioning the 4th of July.

OMG!  And I always think of Daniel Boone in the same moment, ever since I was 9.

From Saturday (in the park) to (Beautiful) Sunday. What other "day" songs do we have to choose from in '72?

Indeed -- tho' I suspect this will be a bit more predictable, if enjoyable.

VHM Daniel Boone -- between this and the Chicago, we're quite sunshiny so far.

This song really does highlight Reg's piano technique--there's some tasty key-banging going on here. Haven't listened to it closely in a long time.

Was just digging the Allmans' Blue Skies, but it sounds like we might not get thru it--hearing a bit of digital skipping going on. Will Dave bail?

It settled down a bit, but now here we go again?

Aretha's Day Dreaming would go down nicely, too.

Ah, we made it. Dave hung in there and so did the CD.

Here's that redneck dude, about to tell Jane Fonda to eff off.

TANC: Aretha's 1970-76 GH comp was my work-commute listening yesterday!

BBBOS to "Softly Whispering I Love You," another in my someday wedding mix.  Yet another great Levi Stubbs impersonation for your list, Mike.

I'm tempted to make a comment about Stinking Bishop, except I really like this song so would hate to cast aspersions unfairly.

Well the Pride set is inevitable for Friday I think, but since it's been a classic the last couple of years who knows what to expect?
