anyone's guess at this point.
ETA: Or rather, 1983. And our lips are sealed. Bananarama-style.
First time I ever ran across the name 'Siobhan'--and couldn't pronounce it right for a while after that.

Ehhh...it's that damn band from Down Under. Get ready to chunder....

Fun Boy Three, for only the second time in my Db.
And surprisingly (maybe?) "Down Under" for only the 4th time, and first since May '05.
-
danced with wind and danced with fire....early BOS for Red Rockers "China".
Wish I coulda been hanging around 415 Records back in the day....

Oy--FB3 indeed. I give. Why was I thinking Bananarama? Pardon me while I chunder.

They did at least one duet with Bananarama, I know I have it here somewhere....
ETA: ....here it is - "T'Aint What You Do It's the Way You Do It [with Fun Boy Three]"
great little tune, btw.
-
Now this is interesting--a deep cut from Let's Dance. Criminal World. Certainly a rarity, but I'll defer to Mark as to whether it's a first-timer.

not quite, but first time in 3 1/2 years. mini kudos to Dave!
This is (so far) much better than his normal Monday morning offering.
Another strong VHM to the Heads "Girlfriend Is Better".
-
"Wind Power" is a pretty strong Katrina, but it's a Narada to me, even though I heard this album a lot (i think my gilrfirend at the time had it). I never heard it on KYYX - The Wave of the 80's, back in the day.
-
Mike was right this morning about not posting much...
-
another mini kudo to Dave for playing "It Must be Love" instead of "Our House". He's rather on his game for a Monday I think.

I'd have to agree. Other than the M@W and Dolby tunes, this has been pretty pleasurable. VHM to Plant's Big Log, a personal fave.
-
Plant's "Big Log" is another tune, like "Down Under", that you probably think Dave plays a lot, but actually he doesn't.
-
Re-Flex is another bonafide Katrina, but one of my favorite songs of the year, so I don't mind too much.
gotta run, be catching the end in my car.
-
Another VHM to Re-Flex, The Politics of Dancing. A Rock of the 80s stalwart, and quite a sledgehammer for me.

OK, I think it was one of you guys who pointed out that IAWYDITWTYDI bears a striking resemblance to something that was a big pop hit recently, but I am completely blanking. Any help?

It was me but I'm blanking -- it wasn't a "big pop hit", it was some obscurity I heard on CG or KPOO.

Stop making sense! A co-BOS with Bowie, says I.
