Cue Haddaway. I'll be VERY surprised if this isn't a Katrinafest. And sure enuf, Blind Melon, tryin' to keep their cheeks, er, dry.
-
another Morey standby: TFF breakin' it down. At least he's playing it in the right year for a change
BOS Stereo MC's, "Connected". But this is a '93 frequent-flyer too.

This has been a heavily AAA set so far. Rembrandts next? Or Del Amitri?

Annie L gives us the bird. A Katrina Bird, you can tell by the feathers.
-
aaack! 4 Non-Talents.

Finally, something outside the AAA format. BOS the first appearance of Radiohead on my radar, Creep.
Cuz' I'm so kcufin' special...
-
Oh, you're a "Creep" all right. So FUCKIN' special (or "kuffin'" as the censored version says).

BOS for Creep. Sure sounded like he said "fuckin'" just now.
-
BMOS for "What's Eating Gilbert Grape". Johnny and Leonardo before they were huge. Creepy movie.

indeed - the first F-word was censored but the subsequent ones seemed to be there.
VHM Zhane, but this is one of the only R&B tunes Dave knows from 1993.
-
ROTFL!!! John Wayne Bobbit clip into "Everybody Hurts". Oh, Dave.

Hard to believe Fogheads chose Creep. Good on them. (Not me though; I failed to vote.) I was surprised that Dave didn't use the "clean" version which uses "very" instead of "fuckin'". We've certainly heard that version on KFrOG before.

what, Radiohead's not AAA? They were 2 years later with "High & Dry".

Not in '93, they weren't. Creep was all about alt-rock radio then, Live 105 or its equivalent. Gotta take it in context.

ROTFL!!! John Wayne Bobbit clip into "Everybody Hurts". Oh, Dave.
I heard tunes 7-10 in the car & had a LOL moment there as well.
BOS overall woulda been any one of Annalisa's 5 bonus suggestions, and as much as I'm digging "Thing of Beauty", it was the least of them.

I guess, to me, a song that eventually made it into KFOG rotation (even if years later; also see: Green Day and Nirvana) isn't so kcufin' special. But you're right, "Creep" was a huge Live 105 song at that time and ignored by KFOg -- ditto Beck's "Loser".

Btw, while we're on the subject of Creep--anyone think Thom Yorke "borrowed" a bit of the bridge from the Hollies' "The Air That I Breathe"? (Have we talked about this before? Can't recall.)

I don't remember you mentioning it -- but you're right!
