Title: 8 May 2007--it's...1983

No guesses yet  but I just about had heart failure when I tuned in a minute ago (9:51) and heard the Beatles' Birthday--thought I lost 10 minutes somewhere. No, Dave was just playing Birthday to end the set.

I wish Dave'd play the Elmer Fudd version.  It always seems like we were just there ('83) but it's been 5 weeks...

I'm with ya. It kills me how quickly the months pass these days. It's nearly summer and it seems like it was just Christmas. We're gettin' older, gang, and there's no stopping it...

Speaking of parody versions, has Dave ever played Weird Al's (I Lost On) Jeopardy?

I have no idea...
But that reminds me of way back when Thriller was still hot, and a jukebox in some Palo Alto bar had both Beat It and Eat It by Weird Al.  (I think I played them one after the other...)

Dang, pretty good set with the obvious BOS for Don's New Frontier.  And I've always thought The Fixx were a cut above most of the New Wave of the time.  The lead singer was funny on one of those best songs of the 80s shows on VH1C.

Still holding out hope for some kind of rarity or deep catalog tune.

True, a guilty pleasure, but doesn't fall into either of the above categories.

I think this is about the most I can hope for, Catapult, from Murmur. BOS.

My thoughts exactly.  Didn't need to Rock the Katrasbah or watch the Katrinas Come Down. "Been" there, done that.

Ad hoc meeting pulled me away, BOS for Fagen & REM, VHM for Spandau Ballet & Wall of Voodoo.
