Not quite that far. 1970. Excellent year but "ancient"? Methinks not.
Montego Bay to lead off...oh, what a beautiful morning....

Nothing wrong with 1970, and I'll be the first to Sing Out! a big BOS for "Montego Bay"...
...but there's a difference between 3 decades and 4 decades Dave!

sadly, no, but '70 will do. Surprised we're not doing Cinco de Mayo.
Bobby Bloom -- what's a nice Jewish boy doing in Montego Bay, singing Rogers & Hammerstein?
-
Doors were nice, but an enthusiastic BOS to Chicago, 25 or 6 to 4. With a superb horn part and killer guitar solo from Terry Kath.

sadly, 1970 is closer to 4 decades ago than 3. We is *all* gettin' ancient, folks...

BOS S&G. Lovely.

I meant as in 90's...80's...70's...60's.
I'd rather be a forest than a street, S&G BOS #3.

Dave's last non-classic visit to ancient times was 1969 on 3/30 & he played the Stooges "1969". Any takers on the odds he'll play the Stooges "1970" today? Especially after Velvet Underground?
-
Holy F---in s--t!!!! Super BOS Bobby Sherman, tossin', turnin', freezin', burnin'!!
and proxy of gaz too.

I'd pay to see Iggy sing this!
VVHM to Bobby Sherman. Holy Cow!

Why is KFOG not playing the new Stooges CD? (or the new NY Dolls, for that matter?). I used to laugh at those people who'd call up and complain that "World Class Rock" isn't really rock, too much Norah Jones, etc, but KOFG misses the boat on a lot of great stuff that they ignore in favor of Adult Contemporary pablum. "If if sounds like something we're already playing, we're on it!"
-
BOS3 Badfinger. I have never seen The Magic Christian, tho' I read the book as a HS freshman.
-
You better hurry 'cuz it's goin' fast....could be self-referential to the set itself, over & done at 10:33.
-
SHIT!!! I had a sudden meeting and I missed Bobby freakin' Sherman!!! Goddammit!!!
-
Did Dave just pronounce it "Yoolie do ya Love me"?
That was a bustout, too, if I'm not mistaken.

Sorry young dudes! Bobby was after my time, not a nostalgia thing!

Wow! I NEEDED that! Got home just in time to catch the replay, after having waited 45 minutes for an N-Judah at Montg'y station earlier in the evening. (Don't get me started.) I was in a crappy mood when I finally got to my 'hood, but a nice dinner of calimari dore at Pasquale's and rolling in to the house just in time to catch what I missed the first time around has put me in much finer fettle. That Bobby Sherman tune is a bubblegum classic, and the rest of the set was equally fine. VERY enjoyable.
Now I think I'll go have a beer.
