Rod and Mike share birthday club honors--with somekinda baton Dave schlepped back from Indiana.
ETA: And we start with Klaatu, We're Off, You Know. A nice bit of innuendo there, imo.
-
Just heard from Mshray via phone--he was the one responsible for Dave's verbatim comments on Mike's 5-2 on 5/2 birthday thing. He sends congrats to both of y'all.

Mmmmm... Rockin!! Know a little 'bout Love!!

That was my guess. Thanks Mark, it was pretty cool.
And, btw, 3 years to 51 on 5/1.

Wow! BOS Trower! Is this a bustout?

But wise beyond your years, even now. Hope ya had a great b-day yesterday, Rod.
Oh, and today's my wedding anniversary too--8 years and counting. And since the wife is still in North Carolina for four more weeks, I'm going to see Travis tonight to celebrate.

If it's not, it's been a long long time since we last heard it. BOS for me as well.
Damn, thought we were gonna hear the Sex Pistols there--Ramones and Sheena will have to do. BOS2.

VHM to Mr. Joel, Only the Good Die Young. I had a female friend in college who HATED this song--hit a little close to home I guess.

Not the best birthday song either!

And then Donna Summer into Mike's fave Saturday Night Fever clip: "He hits my haih!" (Or how ever the hell you spell hair in Brooklynese.)
-
As always, post-vacay brilliance from the rejuvenated DM. BOS3 (or is it 4) for Pete's baby, givin' it away.

Well, he DID have a colonoscopy yesterday, and he's beautiful inside too.

I wonder if I got extra-credit on my Trower vote for BOS. Can't imagine that it's such a Foghead favorite.

I would love to hear "Man of the World" by Trower off the first album. Do you have it Rod?
PS, I dig the BC icon.

Woulda been my vote. Got out of the car & headed into my appointment just after the song started. Remember thinking 'Who is this?', and about 5 minutes later, when I was seated & waiting for things to start, it occurred to me, 'waitaminute, that must have been Trower!'

See, I had that right after all, but wasn't sure. On the phone Dave actually threatened to make you 64, just for yucks. He was in a singularly good mood.
Colonoscopies for everyone!

Colonoscopies for everyone!
Mike has fingers in ears, singing loudly "LALALALALA".
(I'm overdue for mine)
I could make a comment about Dave being a bottom and so naturally enjoying the procedure, but...

Well if you were listening, he did make a comment about the latino male nurse he was looking at as the anaethesia was taking effect.

It occurred to me this morning that this Klaatune sounds like the Beatles' "Honey Pie" as re-imagined by Jeff Lynne.
