new to me: mid-'70s American country singer Billie Jo Spears apparently had a Top Ten UK hit with "What I've Got in Mind".

And it's followed by -- oh joy of joys! -- "When Smokey Sings".

wow, I probably haven't heard Lou (Foreigner) Gramm's "Midnight Blue" since it was a hit.  And there's probably a reason for that.
