Count me as one of his many fans.  I may not have read everything he wrote, but I read at least half of his novels, maybe more.

My favorite quote, which appears at the beginning of one of his books goes something like this:

Every day our planet hurtles 300,000 miles closer to Globular Cluster M113 in the constellation of Hercules.  And still some folks say there is no such thing as progress.

I've only read "Breakfast of Champions" from him -- I never went further b/c that was honestly the most depressing book I'd ever read in my life.  If any of you can point me in a less nihilistic direction for him, I'll follow.

gosh. that one didn't make the spanish paper. or maybe i missed it. i just started re-reading breakfast of champions last sunday. and i was wondering how old kurt was doing. i think i've inherited my cousin's talent for subliminally killing people. i'll never forgive myself for this one.
