How Long has Bohemian Rhapsody been goin' on?
-
Oh my! BOS Bonnie, "I'm Blowin' Away" from her wonderful Home Plate LP.
-
Heavens! the Kinks, "No More Looking Back" --BOS2, I barely remember hearing this on the radio even when it was current.
-
Fleetwood Mac - Rhiannon
Steely Dan - Chain Lightning
Linda Ronstadt - When Will I Be Loved
Ramsey Lewis w/EW&F - Sun Goddess
Paul Simon - 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover
Nils Lofgren - Back It Up
Ace - How Long
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
Bonnie Raitt - I'm Blowin' Away
Kinks - No More Looking Back
Methinks this beats Dave's '75 set from last week. Sorry I missed the Lofgren and Ramsey Lewis/EWF.

I dunno. Both of them have their OMG moments and their "oh jeez" ones, but I think I gotta give it to Dave, even with the Kinks representation in this set.

Well, I know I'm hard on Dave, but there wasn't anything in his set (except possibly the Led Zep) that he hadn't played before. Here we've got Ronstadt (who Dave doesn't play enuf of, IMHO), and the Lofgren, Raitt, and Kinks, all of which woulda been Morey bustouts. Even if I take points away from Rob for the overplayed Queen and Mac, I still give him the edge. But I'm a crankypants.

Actually Dave did play the Kinks tune, once in the last year or so, I believe. And I dinged Rob heavily for the Queen, FMac and Ace tunes, all of which we've heard plenty of.
