This was Alice Cooper's first "hit", wasn't it? Although I don't recall hearing it very much back then.

then you've forgotten "Eighteen" and "School's Out"and "Elected" It was a Top 40 (peaking mid-20s) hit, about as good as "No More Mr Nice Guy" did the same year.
This is, incredibly, our first '73 set since Dec 27th -- which was a rerun. Last "new" '73 excursion was Nov 16th!!

proxy of Gaz for George, "Give me Platitudes, Give Me Pie-in-the-Sky"

"Bell Bottom Blues" in '73?? Wha???

BOS Bell Bottom Blues. But did this chart in '73? Layla came out a couple of years earlier, and I know Layla the song charted in '72, but I'm not sure if they tried this as a followup or what.

Actually, per AMG, Bell Bottom Blues hit #78 in 1973, having charted already in'71--at #91. So this is legal.

I don't have Whitburn handy -- I guess that's possible, but if it charted it never made the Top 40. I don't wanna accuse Dave via e-mail, he's so tetchy about that.
BOS4 "My Maria".
