I gave some thought to calling Dave & asking if we'd hear the Ides today.

I gotta give a BOS vote to our TotHC "Baba O'Reilly".  Would you believe that accordingto my Db that is a bustout?  Seriously.

And a VHM to the James Gang "Walk Away".

where is everybody today?  I was going to watch the Stanford game, but they are getting their clocks cleaned by Louisville, so I returned to take solace from this set & Dave is not disappointing.

proxy of Gaz, "Temptation Eyes", the GRs at the end of their creative rope -- one soundalike hit too many, at that point -- but cheezily enjoyable anyway.

It was kind of a turntable hit, used to hear it on FM radio in the 70s but I don't know that it charted.

VVHM Firesign Theater. Welcome to the Future!

I'm enjoying, but except for the Chicago tune, this is standard-issue Morey IMHO.

Very nearly a bustout.  My Db only has this once, and that was the 2003 KaBOOM set.

a solid VHM for JT, whose feet are taking him where they want to go.

This was the version I know best, but you may be right. He could have done it on his Apple debut, then rerecorded it for Sweet Baby James or something.

And wtf is AMG so slow to load?

ETA: Nope, per AMG it's only on SBJ, at least as a new release. The rest are comps.

True, but I think a lot of the rest of the set (King Floyd, Grass Roots, Chicago, War) were all like 3:30, so we end up with a pretty fast set.

And a pretty darn fine one it was. I'm slightly bumming that I'm out tonight for the Ian Hunter thing at the Fillmore. I guess between this one and the Soul Patrol on Monday, I won't be sleeping in much on Saturday.

I just ordered a fairly comprehensive TRex best-of (there are many that omit certain songs, but this one seems to have everything).

Crap--missed it. A poorly timed impromptu meeting. Oh well.

Which one? I've got Electric Warrior and The Slider, but I know there are a bunch of songs that aren't on either.

it's just called "the Very Best of T Rex", appears to be an import. It has every British chart single except (TANC) "Jeepster".
