Not only that, on Fri Urth misidentified Tyrone Davis "Turn back the Hands of Time" as "Can I Change My Mind"... and here's the latter.
-
Thank You for Sly's "Thank You", a treasure-trove of mondegreens
"Many men are missin' lunch"
OMFG! BOS J-5, "Mama's Pearl", the least-played of their streak of 6 hits that began their career.

mmmmmm... smooth Stylistics.

Wow, Dave just keeps strokin' 'em over the fence--even with the admitted disc jockey error. Nice set.
-
OW! Rev Al!
Saw a great clip over the weekend of him on the syndicated '70s show "Rollin on the River" (a "Midnight Special" clone) doing "Let's Stay Together" and "You Oughta Be with Me". Fab.
-
Get down get down! BOS for Jungle Boogie.
-
Is this Soul Patrol or the Quentin Tarantino Hour?
Either way it totally rules.

Great set indeed, but, unless he plays the Looooong version of something, we'll be outta here at 10:28.

voulez-vouz coucher avec Patti? That hair might kill ya.

'76 could be "Love Rolly-coaster", no?

Speaking of whom, I saw a trailer yesterday for his next project, a double-feature-in-one-film with Robert Ramirez. It's called Grindhouse and each of them has directed a 75-minute blood-and-tits shoot-em-up that are being released in tandem. QT's is called Death Proof while Ramirez' is called Planet Terror, both have a very 70s B-movie look. In theaters April 6.

QT needs to make something real and emotionally involving, and stop wallowing in B-movie references. (yes, I'm one of those who hated both "Kill Bill"s)

I would have to agree with you. But apparently as long as he can keep getting studios to back him, this is what he's going to be making. I think he needs to blow a few hundred million of some studio's long green and spend a few years sitting on his ass getting his calls not returned before he stops mailing in these not-very-good tributes to movies that weren't very good in the first place.

Mike may not agree, but I'm bummed to have missed Marvin as the bonus track.
