This made me think back to 1998, when I was taking a 20th Century U.S. History class at CCSF.  (No degree requirements or anything like that; I just felt that my knowledge of history was lacking.  I still do.)  The professor's ambitious syllabus addressed Vietnam via the "Iron Man" comic, which was very rah-rah in its origins but startlingly circumspect about the nature of the fight at war's end.  Compelling stuff.
