Some latter 80s or 90s year, I'm thinking, given where we've been this week.
And it's Don's birthday!
OK I was wrong again--and boy am I relieved!
ETA: Is it me, or is this an extended intro to "Driver's Seat"?

You & me both, bub! Don's in the driver's seat! Sounds like a remix of some kind -- the looooooooooong version, no doubt!
BTW, Don is 89 today. Mazel Tov!
-
BOS Tooooooobs! Don's in his "Prime Time" indeed!
-
BOS1 The Tubes, Prime Time, from their rarely heard masterpiece Remote Control. (produced by Todd R.--can ya tell?)

Disco Tubes -- can Disco Kinks and Disco KISS be far behind?
uh-oh: the obligatory Supertramp.
-
their rarely heard masterpiece Remote Control.
Can I assume that one id out-of-print? Amazon only has used copies, starting at 31 bucks.
-
Oh Dave. "we have all COME together". Tee Hee. Time to retire that one.
-
COO-BAH! Dave's fave semi-obscure disco hit -- he's a sucker for that accent, I guess. A Narada that has become a Katrina. Let the cube dancing commence!
-
wait a minute, baby! BOS2 Stevie & F. Mac.
-
OMFG! BOS3 Ian Hunter, "Just Another Night"!!

Most likely. I've seen copies on CD, but I haven't looked for awhile. Great album.
OMFG!!! BOS3 Ian Hunter, Just Another Night. I've been waiting for Dave to play this for years!!
(BOS2 was FMac--the only time I'm likely to BOS the Goat.)
-
VHM WKRP and the great Howard Hesseman.
-
BOS4 Disco Kinks! Dave read my mind.
-

You asked for it, you got it. VHM, Kinks (I Wanna Fly Like) Superman.
-
oh my! BOS5 Third World, makin' Natty shoot-shoot-shoot-shoot all ovah da place, mon!
-
oh-wah! oh-wah! I'll even VHM the Buggles, that's how good a mood this set has put me in. Kudos, Dave!

As '79 sets go, they don't come much better than this. I voted for Ian Hunter, but the Tubes would have gotten my vote otherwise.

post set: I really like this Killers song, "Read My Mind", clearly an homage to Springsteen. A nice antidote to the endless emo KFOG seems to play too much of the time.
-
the bonus choices RAWK! Zappa's "Joe's Garage" (!) and Robert Gordon's "Black Slacks" (!!) are passed over in favor of Bowie, "I Am a DJ", which I don't think I've EVER heard on KFOG. Nice work.
-
1. Sniff 'N' the Tears - Driver's Seat
2. Tubes - Prime Time (BEST OF SET!!)
3. Supertramp - Take the Long Way Home
4. Sister Sledge - We Are Family
5. Gibson Brothers - Cuba
6. Fleetwood Mac - Sara
7. Ian Hunter - Just Another Night
8. Kinks - (Wish I Could Fly Like) Superman
9. Third World - Now That We Found Love
10. Buggles - Video Killed the Radio Star
BONUS TRACK: David Bowie - D.J.
Set of the Week, I'd say -- and Bonus Track of the Month.
