Hoping for no fire alarms today.
Pat Benatar, breakin' hearts and takin' names, leads it off.

I was hoping Dave'd keep the '70s fire burning after Bob & Ginger's fine sets. But Ms Benatar and Junkie Major Tom will suffice, I guess.

Three songs in and it's strictly album rock so far. Will we hear Jim Carroll? Peter Gabriel? Gary Numan? The Kings? We can only hope.

Well, here's that inevitable Katrina/Narada (at least for me), Invisible Man's Band, "All Night Thing". Closest we'll get to pop/funk today, I'll bet, unless Blondie or Kool & the Gang show up.

nice seg from Reagan to "One Trick Pony"! Oh, Dave!
-
"Have you seen Junior's grades???"
BOS VH.
-
Mickey Mouse Fever! "Macho Duck"??? Yikes, that is scary.
VHM "Canary in a Coalmine"
-
yeesh, ChrisCross, "Sailing" away again -- Dave played this pretty recently, no?
and now it's the Money Man, who apparently sailed all the way to "Trinidad".
-
Don't know about you, Mike, but this set has mostly been a miss for me. Just this U2 song is about the only thing that's really caught my ear.
-
BOS(U)2. Bono when he was young and (relatively) unpretentious.

Which turns out to have been "Spot the Vinyl".

Huh -- I've never listened to "One Trick Pony". Or at least, not that closely. Nice.
Segue into... Van Halen? Uh, ok. Also enjoyable, but I thought I'd actually make it from the parking lot up to my desk in time to finish it off via the stream. Dangit, I never quite make it.
Setlist, anyone?

BTW, I'm really digging Ray Lamontagne's new groovy direction. First album was good, but somewhat depressing. I should give it another listen though, it's been a while.

Indeed, a nice change from the overplayed "Late in the Evening" -- the movie flopped, and so "OTP", the follow-up single to the Top ten "LITE", pretty much flopped too. And it looks like the setlist-posting intern is asleep today.
