I suppose it's unfair to complain, but since we had '69 on Tues, I was expecting a Soul Patrol or some kinda theme today.

Had a feeling something like this might happen, since we hit 75 and 69 already this week.

eeks. Madge is posing and vogueing. I say this all the time, but: why is this the most-played Madonna song in Dave's repertoire? He ignores most of the truly fine pop singles she made in the '80s (huge hits, every one) but plays this one in every third 1990 set (or so it seems).

I think "every third set" is a bit of an exaggeration, but you're dead on as far as the dearth of other Madonna material goes. The only other songs of hers in the DB v1.0 are Material Girl, Erotica, and American Pie, once each.

On the other hand, World Party shows up pretty regularly it seems. And I vote them BOS damn near every time. Like now. BOS Put the Message in the Box.

ETA: Have to amend that. Her cover of Santa Baby has been played once (Xmas Hits from Hell) and American Pie has actually been played twice (both times in hits-from-hell-type sets). (My bad--I was looking at the wrong page of the DB.)

BOS World Party, probably the best of a Katrinish lot, unless there's a surprise in store.

And if you missed the opening, it's Alejandro's birthday -- "the" Alejandro, who got "mucho mucho amor" from Senor Morey.  Which reminds.. Jose hasn't been mentioned in a month or 2.

Alejandro -- the longtime live-in BF, who was out for a while and then back in, sorta.  Guess they have some kinda "open relationship".

Yikes, it's HammerTrina Time!

Didn't know that.  Guess he'll just buy some more cocaine in his grave.

I heard that Bushy had a less close encounter with Frau Merkel yesterday.  "No backrubs", he quipped.  Bleah.

From the sound of this, Dave's the dirty old man here.

"Mucho, mucho ... amor."

I like that he kept the birthday greeting in for the replay -- don't those usually get edited out on the replays?

When Dave said "tonite.. We Indian" did that mean cuisine? or is it some kinda dress-up, role-playing thing they do?

And Gaz: what's with the Rob Corddry avatar? and are you enjoying the 70-degree NYC temps this weekend? (good lord, what's it gonna be like when I'm there in June?? But global warming's a myth... yeah sure)
