Now this is more like it.

BOS Br-u-u-u-u-u-ce, The River. The fall of 1980 sounded like this and John Lennon at my place.

Ditto.  I had seen him do this song (heard it for the first time) the previous year at the No Nukes concert.  Still one of his most powerful. BOS2

oh, babys.

"and the way that you came every night"

This is surely a Katrina, or close to one.

"Jodie fights to save his baby" on Soap. Which prompted one of my favorite lines ever:

Social Worker: "Are you a practicing homosexual?"
Jodie: "I don't have to practice -- I'm very good at it."

BOS3 AC/DC!  Duuuuuuuuude!

This really reminds me of a Donald Fagen song on the Nightfly -- can't think of which one it is with Donna singing...gimme a minute...

I take it back.  I think I'm thinking of "My Life" by Billy Joel, which did precede this one.

That "practicing" joke also appears on a Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks album which I'm sure they were familiar with, though it was a doctor.

VHM George Benson, "Give Me the Princess, er, the Night". A Rod Temperton composition that could just as easily have been done by MJ on Off The Wall.

Hmmm, sounds like someone griped to DM about hearing "Nigel" one time too often. Could it be anyone we know?

Not I... Dave admitting he overplays a song is, like, a Sign of the Apocalypse, isn't it?

But I was the "one vote" for Ms Summer, and Dave used my "wan-duh-wuh" comment in the backannounce.
