Heh, I heard that song on KPIG this morning. Was the third song in "Make the Connection" which starts at 9:00 after Travus T. Hipp's newscast. You should listen! (You're thinking of "Never Been to the Islands", eh wot?)

Spot on sir! I wish I'd heard it too. I just turned off the radio as Travis was starting. They did play Stan Freeburg's "Green Christmas" just before that. I was in radio heaven.

Ah, thanks for posting that--I was gonna go back and look but I've been distracted by work. Grrr.
Only two repeating artists so far, and one repeating song. Hoping to keep it to that. And hoping not to hear Wild Cherry.

Ooh, you can listen on the real radio - that's cool. Though they have a 128KB stream now for free that you can listen to on your bomputer that sounds just swell.
-
Howard Hughes "expires", but Bowie sez "Stay".
-
BOS for one of my favorite Bowie tunes of all.

Ah, good ol' Travus. Good to know he's still plying the airwaves. I used to listen to him in the early-to-mid 70s on KZAP in Sacto, he had a Sunday night political call-in show (Travus T. Hipp's Rawhide Realities Revue) that used to attract some of the wildest callers you ever heard. I still credit him with helping form the left-wing views I still hold dear.
BOS Stay. Play it, Earl.

Do you have the url handy? I know it's posted here somewhere, but I don't have it on my iTunes at the office.

sorry, not a PF revisionis!

BOS Stay. Play it, Earl.
I am remiss in just singling out Earl Slick for excellence on this track--really, the entire fookin band just cooks. Carlos Alomar's wicked rhythm guitar groove, not to mention the rest of the rhythm section, (George Murray, Dennis Davis) totally laying it down. Fab, fab song.
Crap, another repeater. It hadda happen. I much preferred the studio version of Lines on My Face Dave played last Thursday.

Why sure. It's this: http://205.188.215.232:8020/
This is what my winamp says when it's playing it. On the website, it looks like this: http://www.kpig.com/kpig_128.m3u
You can see the various choices on www.kpig.com too. There's an AAC+ version too.

Ditto -- having heard that studio LOMF so recently makes this seem even schlockier than usual.

Hrm... methinks this set was from June, perhaps?
But "Summer" sounds good on this cold morning.

It does sound really really familiar--particularly the backsell. It wasn't in the version of the Shraytabase I have here at work, but it's v. 1.0, so would not include June.

Yesterday on KPIG I heard Miller's "True Fine Love" (from Book of Dreams), which I don't think Dave has ever played -- one of the few SM tunes from that period that he hasn't.

Found today's set in my updated version 2.0 of the Shraytabase. It originally aired, not this past summer, but January 28, 2004. No other notes beyond that.
