I thought the "totally different head" ref in the intro was a clue, but nay.

e-mail is down, sez Dave. As is the KFOG player -- but the WM Player link on our page works fine.

I've always been bored by this version of Sweet Jane.  I like the Junkies, but this is just insipid.  That song lives by the riff, and this version ain't got it.

Can't listen in the office this morning, but doubt I'm gonna be missing much.  Might go do some errands & listen a bit in the car.  Catch y'all later.

Agreed.  Heard an interview with Margo once in which she talked about how they were just as happy they had a hit with a cover as they would have been if they'd had a hit with a song that they wrote themsleves, because "we put so much work into our covers."  And I remember thinking "Gee, that's really too bad.  You put so much work into it and it still sucks."

Here's that weird remix of "Tumblin Down" that I've only ever heard on 10@10.

BOS2 Joni, after the GP tune earlier. Is this 'un a bustout? I can't recall if we've heard it or not, but certainly not often if we have.

We heard it in a Ginger '88 set recently, no?

Even has some good work from Don Henley.  A great improvement over "Leather and Lace".

And amazingly, this is our first '88 set since early Oct -- and that one was a rerun.

Double woohoo!  I've never heard this on the radio before -- only on Radio Paradise.  A really weird tune.

This is actually its 2nd appearance on 10@10 -- musta got enough votes last time for Dave to bring it back.

A label that could apply to many of Robyn's songs. Ever heard The Yip Song?

Btw, his latest, Ole Tarantula is quite great. Will probably make my 06 best-of list, if I make one.

Yeah, dug it.  Apparently it's off of a 12":  http://talk.ziggymarley.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/6416035062/m/845106776

I liked the segue from Jimmy Swaggart -> "Tall Cool One", esp. after the reporter said that Swaggart will probably come out of the scandal fine...

And where is he now...

Btw, my hopes for the annual Foghead Xmas Card set are kind of dwindling. I pinged DM with that question via IM and he did not respond. Hope I'm wrong but that doesn't bode well.

Dave was a little off in his criticism of that Foghead since the word "systematically" does appear in the song.  But I guess he must have thought that was the title.
