Title: The Peak, 12/1/06: It's 1972

Tuned in for "A Horse With No Name."  Some months ago, someone pointed out to me (either here or on the ILM board) how clever an arrangement idea it was to have the first chorus sung solo, the second sung as duo, and the third as trio harmony.  I think of that every time I hear the song now.

Day-um! Big Star! "In the Street".  And Rob started with Bowie's "It Ain't Easy". Quite impressive.

Have you heard their Xmas album from a couple years ago, where they try desperately to make eacj carol sound like one of their hits? "I Been Thru a Winter Wonderland on a Sleigh With No Name", etc.

OMG! BOS Joni, she's a radio!

Rod still wears it well. "Basement parties/Your Brother's karate" remains a favorite silly rhyme of mine.
