Sounded vaguely like the Dixie Dregs, but I'm just guessing. But yeah, I liked it, too.

But then again, I really like Dead Man's Party.  Was that first Halloween song a Danny Elfman creation as well?

The intro snipped of "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" reminded me of a friend's blog entry from a couple years ago. Great pics:

not the instrumental (afaik), but "This is Halloween" from Nightmare Before Xmas is Elfman.

Dat's da one I meant.  It's got that Haunted Mansion graveyard sound that all of his pieces seem to have.  Speaking of which, that'd be reeeeeally cool to hear.

HM for that 6th Sense clip.  Pretty creepy.  And the kid sounds kind of like my son, so it's extra-spooky.

What's this plinky synth thing? Sounds vaguely familiar, but not in my musical past.

Speaking of plinky synths, I ran into Beej on Muni on the way home last night. He says hi, he's still swamped at work, so probably won't be joining us any time soon, but sends halloween greetings to all.

ETA: Nice segue on the stream from "I want to talk to you about drugs.  Blah blah blah blah" to a mattress ad.

anyone else pay attention to the Honda of El Cerrito ad on the stream?  It sounds at first like a guy & his wife, but late in the spot the wife's voice drops a couple of octaves and it sounds like a gay couple. Or is it my imaginaton?

Can't say I listen to the stream long enough to hear that.  I only listen to KFrOG for 10at10 and the Pop Quiz.

I have to tell you that my group played Laguna Honda on Saturday, and we did Monster Mash, with me on lead!  It was a Graveyard Smash!

Ministry didn't sound like that for long.  They became hard industrial after this dalliance with pop -- guess heroin was a buzzkill (and the PSB comparison is apt, now that I think about it!).
