Most def.
You beat me to the initial post today.

Nice, nice, very nice.
"where the spinach is always safe" LOL!
Speaking of food, my 1975 wish as always, is for "Life is a Minestrone". But I feel "Blackmail" or "One Night in Paris" may be in the offing.
-
Teddy for Ali! "Don't Leave Me This Way".
-
TEDDY!
BOS
-
Pretty gutsy of Ford to say, "The State of the Union is not good." Can you imagine anyone saying that these days? They just wouldn't.
-
VHM BTO shamelessly cloning their sound. Sha-la-la-la!

You ain't seen nothin' yet!
Digging this Santana song - not familiar with it. (It is Santana, ain't it?)
ETA: Journey, eh? Well, shut mah mouth! That is good!
-
Damn--got a phone call in mid-Ambrosia and didn't get off until the end of BTO. Kept the earphone in one ear, but it wasn't quite the same.
Journey when they were great!! BOS Topaz!!! Love the transition between the smooth groove and the flanged guitar riff!!
-
Any proxy of cairo that I'm welcome to.
-
Holy cow, what a fantastic set. VHM for the Dan. Hard not to auto-BOS them, but that Journey song was something else.

When I saw Steely Dan this summer, they did this song. It was obviously one of those Michael McDonald songs they were doing on the tour even though he wasn't at this particular show. I think this was the one that they did with a reggae beat. It was odd.

Indeed. BOS tie here, as Katy Lied is my all-time fave Dan record.

OMFG, Daisy Jane! Inexplicably, I learned how to play this on the piano. I used to play it at the band shak after a rally in an attempt to sober up enough to drive home. If I could play it, I could drive.

Somehow I have my doubts about that, but no harm, no foul.
Great tune, BOS3.
And here's the popular BOS winner--Todd, Initiation.

VHM from me -- the inspiration, as we've discussed before, of Janet Jackson's "Let's Wait Awhile".
uh-oh -- presumed BOS winner Todd. Although last time we said that the Fogheads surprised us (I'm betting on Journey today).

It does sound good, except he's in a major cave on the stream. And no doubt, some bad driving decisions were made. Lucky to have made it through without any mishaps.
-
OMGWTF! BOS Mr Simon, "Have a Good Time".

Eh, we've all done it, particularly in our college years. Sometimes I think it's a miracle I never got in any trouble along those lines. Most of my 20s are a blur.
Paul Simon? Methinks his Greek show might not be selling--they're pushing it pretty hard on the radio lately. I heard Rhythm of the Saints twice yesterday.
-
OMGWTF! BOS Mr Simon, "Have a Good Time".
Always remember Viv Savage's philosophy: "Have a good time. All the time."
-
BOS2 Gwen MacRae in her Rockin Chair with her good-lovin' daddy.
-
Woohoo! Fi-wah! VVHM for Ohio Players.
-
Ohio Playaz, settin' us off to a full alarm, child!
-
BOS3 Ohio Players.
What got BOS? A cow orker came up to converse and I missed essentially the entire backsell, except for Dave hawking McD's....BEEF.

Journey. He said it was a battle with Todd, but then backpedaled and said Journey blew 'em all away. So there is justice.

Wow, here we are two days into the week and already we've heard two really fine sets. Only change I'd have made in today's would be ditching the BTO for Major Harris' Love Won't Let Me Wait or one of the 10cc tunes Mike mentioned earlier. Or maybe Alice Cooper's Only Women Bleed.
-
Or maybe Alice Cooper's Only Women Bleed.
wow, has Dave ever played that one? Major flashback to that summer, and an extraordinary song.
-
did I read somewhere here that Janet used some of Daisy Jane? Boy, she really likes America, eh? I don't know the name of the song, but she samples Ventura Highway on some song too.

Yes, "Let's Wait Awhile" fromControl, has a similar melody (a Jam & Lewis composition, I'm guessing). Dunno if America ever complained, but I always wondered if the use of the (credited) sample of "Ventura Highway" a few years ago was a way of paying them back.
-
All I heard today was nice nice, Teddy and Daisy Jane. Major work lack of privacy. A Cow-orker tried talking during Teddy and I was successful in shutting that down. I was successful in quietly calling in a BOS vote.
I'm waiting on the replay

Unless my clocks are wrong, it's an EARLY replay! Birthday club commences.
Spin that wheel Don.
-
For a person with the right voice, Don't Leave Me would be a great karaoke tune.
Has Tom Jones ever covered this?
-
aack! Truncated Teddy for a news clip! Shame!
-
Topaz, nice nice very nice. I've was listening to Journey's Look Into the Future earlier today. Good as well.
-
BOS votes aplenty. BOS to Any World. How can you not help but sway to the music?
Swirl and twirl.

Your clocks aren't wrong. I think it started about 7 or 8 minutes before the hour. Luckily I had my disc in and was ready to go, but I'd gone upstairs for a sec, and came down to DM announcing the birthday clubbers. Missed most of the intro, but got the spinning of the wheel onward.
Yeah, Mark, I got last night too.
-
First time I recall hearing the Paul Simon tune. Haven't heard Rockin Chair for probably 30 years. Gawd.
-
FIRE!!!!!!! uh huh!
woo woo woooo
-
That was a FINE set.
Going to iTunes for Squeeze Box.
-
Yeah, Mark, I got last night too.
Whew!!!
Thanks in advance.
