Cat's ready to love!
Me too!
Hanging at home this morn because when I called the Jury Duty report line last night to find out if I had to be in downtown Oakland this morning, the recording said "Post-poned, call back between 11 and 1 on Tuesday"
So after the set I might still have to do something, but nothin' but 10's at 10's so far today.

I gather that means you've got the house to yourself? As the KPOO player advises, "take this opportunity to savor tranquility."
OOOOooo, BOS 1984!!! Beware the savage jaw....
-
I heard it in the alley on the weird radio....
BOS OMD!

OOOOooo, BOS 1984!!! Beware the savage jaw....
savage Jinx, sorta. As you'll see above, I always heard it as "shore" (which ryhmes with "four" better than "jaw" does). But I'm assuming you're correct.
BOS2 OMD (the first OMD, before them Brits came along).

I never thought it'd be so easy, I never thought it'd be so fun...

Hey, before I forget, that was a great Nixon clip that I don't think Dave played before. He seems to have found a treasure trove of Nixonia in the past year.
TANC - now here's another one.

Gotcha, bro. I had to listen to the chorus twice before I was reasonably sure it was "jaw" and not "draw."
How the hell do you rhyme "jaw" with "four" anyway?
And while we're at it: todo da via en Chevrolet!!!

Pre-emptive "todo da bien Chevrolet" JINX!

Todo tambien Stevie!

Hey another self-referencial song for our list. When he went to the Kool & the Gang show did they got any Steely Dan tee-shirts?

BOS #3 to the Tropic of Sir Galahad. Definitely near the top of my list of randomly obscure lyrics.

and that, coming from a Rush fan, is high praise indeed!

BSSOS: Ford's Nixon pardon into Tin Man.
Which reminds me, I noticed during last night's replay there was an AIDS clip that led into Avalon, the first line of which is "Now the party's over..."

Dave always does stuff like that, by which I mean, after a soundbite y'all gots to listen to the opening lyric of the next song.
He also has followed AIDS slips with Missing Person's "Words" which opens with 'Do you hear me? Do you care?'
-
Gino Vanelli!!! "People Gotta Move". BOS4 or 5, proxy of cairo.

i learned this a few weeks ago: "chevre" (or however it's spelled) means "cool" in venezuelan slang.

There is lambswool under that Foghead's brain; he coulda had Zappa, "Cosmic Debris".

BONUS TRACK: Peter Gabriel - The Carpet Crawlers
Just checking back over the week to make sure we didn't miss any setlists, and noticed that this bonus track was credited to Peter Gabriel, not Genesis. Weird. I thought even the remade version from 99 (which someone said this could have been) was credited to Genesis, although perhaps with PG.

8. Grateful Dead - U.S. Blues (BEST OF SET!!)
My oh my! just tuned in on Saturday to hear this. This is 1974 for me. A great album ignored by Rolling Stone.

tuned in just in time for gino!!!!
There are a weird number of similarities between this song and Wham!'s "Everything She Wants." I wonder if George grew up on this at all.
NO, NO, NO, YOU GOTTA GROOVE

I'm sure. George's favorite is "I Just Wanna Stop".
"when I think about those nights in men's room stalls..."
