Dave has to do better than Bob did today.

I didn't know there was a short version!
VHM as always for That Sexy Voice.

It just seemed extra long today. Especially in the weird sounds section near the end. And yes, gonna be tough to beat "Avalon" today.

Not bad so far, and I think this Simple Minds tune is a bustout.

"Under 'Trina", one of the most overplayed rock tracks of that period.
It's a Morey Monday, all right.

Is this an obscure Saga track?

Could be. They've been listening to the Cars a lot, that's for sure.
VHM IGY.

When that Cars track was on, I thought it sounded like Simple Minds. And then...voila! And serious competition for BOS from Senor Fagen.

almost JINX, 'cause I was thisclose to posting the same comment!
Hey Mr Fagen, I never did get that spandex jacket...

Ah jeez. I'm not even gonna say it--you all know what I'm thinking. At least it's not Down Under.
-

i'm sure it's in the mail.

I think they're '83.
Hey Prrincess, you've stumped me with the new avatar (not surprising). Another Linda?
ETA: Wait--just got it. Ellerbee, post weight loss, yes?

ayup. and with contacts, i presume.

BOS "Uniform". Best of a pedestrian lot. Dave didn't do much better than Bob with this year.

Hmm, I think it was a pretty cool set, with at least two really good, if oft-played, songs and some rarities.
ETA: Genesis notwithstanding.
-
linda and i dodge stones as we vote "no reply" bos.

Is this an obscure Saga track?
Listened without posting while working, but I woulda BOS'd this track & also thought it might be Saga. Glad to see I was right.
aside to Dave, do you ever listen to NPR's "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me?" Chris called me to say that last Saturday the multiple choice question was about the LSJUMB's infamous acts, and that the false choices were hystrerical.
-
where are you off to now, mike?

I love Wait Wait, but rarely get to hear it. All depends on whether I'm in my car at the time or not. I wonder if they have it on the KQED website. Would love to hear the LSJUMB question.

I'm not Mike, but I'm listening to The O'Jays "For the Love of Money" on RadioParadise.

Ring Chris up on his cell at 858-414-5667. Among the correct answers was when the Drum Major led them at Notre Dame while wearing a nun's habit & wielding an oversized crucifix; and another was at Eugene OR, where the Kill-the-Spotted-Owl halftime special apparently enraged the Governor so much that he banned the band from the entire state for 4 years. Alan Alda was the celebrity guest.

It's KPOO Monday, baby! Some dirty blues followed by 4 hours of mah main man Judge.
Rosalie's bonus, Huey's "Workin for a livin'" would be sweet if I hadn't heard it 3 time last week in the Labor Day set.

But I AM!!(http://wendyswizardofoz.com/powerfuloz.gif)
On the first day of class, I showed the scene from the Wizard of Oz (some of the kids had seen the Wiz, but not the original!) where Toto removes the curtain from in front of the professor. I was trying to make the analogy that science is about "finding out what's behind the curtain." I'm unfortanately way too abstract for today's imagination-challenged kids!

I caught it & laughed but failed to give Dave the proper ROTFL credit. He's actually one of the best punsters here.
