I'll go with that one.  It occurred to me for the first time how much this song resembles Tower of Power's "You're Still a Young Man" which came out very near this one.  Not sure which was first.  Pretty sure "Live and in Living Color" came out in '72, which wasn't the first appearance of YSaYM.
ETA: so I lied.  LaiLC didn't come out until 75.  So much for that part of my claim.

TOP were first -- but not by much. Late summer as opposed to autumn for IYDKMBN.

And now Mr Argent holds his head up.  Dave should follow this with 3DN's Argent cover, "Liar".

ETA well, maybe not -- that was the year before!

uh-oh, Harold & Maude alert!

OK, I'm still pretty new in this 10@10 club...  But I can't figure out what ROTFL  means.

And I thought that talking at the end of the song WAS part of the song.

a) ROTFL = Rolling On the Floor Laughing (better/funnier than LOL)

b) it is indeed part of the song.

BOS4 "Bare Trees", proxy for Geoff.

We'll let ya slide :-).  ROTFL = "rolling on the floor laughing".  Standard chat-speak.  And you know about Jose doncha?  He's they guy that Dave always mentions how he voted.  The consensus is Dave has the hots for Jose.

Dear GAWD, it took Annalisa 20 minutes to find someone who could name the 2 bleeped-out candidates names from that All in the Family clip -- and even then she had to give the guy hints because she was starting to get desperate.  How sad. Fogheads get stupider every day.

I have to say that I'm awfully partial to 3. ergerg - retgtrg

Still looks like that on the Marathon, btw.

Actually I liked Nillson, "Jump Into the Fire", with the thundering rhythm section.

Back from camping, had a great time up in the Sierras, mostly rested and relaxed--and two whole days with NO FOG--well, 48+ hours anyway (there was fog when I left on Friday and also when I got home Sunday and I assume constantly in between).

Not a bad set at all, what I heard of it. I was just about to leave the house at 9:55 so ran in to start a disc burning and discovered the set was in mid-Argent (who, no small coincidence, had played with the Zombies here in SF the night before). Crap. So I bagged it, finished packing the car, and dashed out. Missed a couple more songs while in the grocery store buying ice but otherwise heard the last 6 songs or so uninterrupted. Good set, but nothing even close to a bustout, I'm pretty darn sure.
