a far cry from yesterday's fantabulous '77 set. Mostly Moreyish so far (SRV, "Crossfire" as we speak) but kudos for Macca's "This One" and Pixies' "Monkey Gone to Heaven".

and here's Fred Schneider, his nasal whine and his orchestra. But at least it's "Deadbeat Club" and not "Love Shack".
-
Don Henley - Heart Of The Matter
Bob Dylan - Everything Is Broken
Pixies - Monkey Gone To Heaven
Rolling Stones - Mixed Emotions
Love & Rockets - So Alive
Paul McCartney - This One
Stevie Ray Vaughan - Crossfire
B-52s - Deadbeat Club
Nirvana - About A Girl
Neil Young - No More

every Breeder (or I should say successful Breeder couple) of my generation knows that little kids LOVE this song. Seriously, play this for any kid or group of kids in the toddler-kindergarten ages & they will just start dancing around and singing the chorus.

Playing Nirvana in a 1989 set = revisionist history. No one outside Seattle and Issaquah was listening to Nirvana in 1989, I'd imagine.

Indeed -- Did I not say the same thing recently re: Nick Drake?
