I think so far all five songs have some reference to getting away, going away, or otherwise leaving.

And no sooner do I say that then we get "Tom's Diner".  I can't think of any references to getting away in this.

Me neither, & me too.

Google reveals that this is Cousteau, "Last Good Day of the Year".

WTF!? another Who song, from the same album even?

Inessa just loves playing 2 songs by the same artist in one set, doesn't she?  I don't call that a Bargain, necessarily.

Well, if I was confused before, Blur's "Song 2" really bewilders me.

ETA: makes for a pretty eclectic set tho'.

Inessa using the words "road", "steering" and "driving" can't be a coincidence.

Well the answer came at 11:05, some guy named Preston figgered that they were all used in Car commercials.

Have to say that I'd never have gotten it because I hardly watch commercial TV & when I do I tivo past the commercials, but it was a good set & a good mystery.

Y'know, I thought of that because I knew "Song 2" was, but I couldn't say for sure about the others.  "How Soon is Now" -- was that for the new Ford Depresso? or the Mopemobile?

It would have to be the Fuego, or something else made in Mexico.   :P
