Now on DDT: "When The Music's Over."  I appreciate that they don't shy away from 14-minute tracks.  (OF course I'll regret saying that soon.)

Yesterday it was "The End".  Let me know if they break out "Soft Parade"...

you CANNOT petition the Lord... with prayer!

It's been a very good afternoon for Deep Tracks.  Heard Skynyrd's "Tuesday's Gone" (despite my hatred of the band and most of its material, I LOVE this song), "Heart Full O' Soul," and now the Moodies' "Wildest Dreams" rewrite, "I Know You're Out There Somewhere."

Ooh, and now "Handbags & Gladrags," which I love even though I now hopelessly associate it with "The Office" (a fabulous, if depressing, series).

DT played both "Dandelion" AND "She's a Rainbow" this afternoon.  God love 'em.

And this bohunk from softball who kisses like strawberries has invited me out for a drink after work sometime -- turns out he works right around the corner from me!  *Gaz's day improves dramatically*

I haven't heard that word in 40 years... my grandma used to use it. It was kinda derogatory, as I recall.

per the Amer Heritage Dictionary:

bo·hunk NOUN: Offensive Slang Used as a disparaging term for a person from east-central Europe, especially a laborer.
ETYMOLOGY: Bo(hemian) + alteration of Hung(arian).

apparently this somehow mutated into "beauhunk" which (duh) is slang for an exceptionally beautiful... hunk. My grandma was using the former meaning, obviously.

In Pittsburgh it was truncated to just "hunky."  About 10 years ago someone did a prominent sculpture there and called it "The Hunky Steelworker"; despite the evolution of "hunk"'s connotations, many were offended by the name.  I use it as a term of endearment for lust objects where I'm more worried about what's in the jeans than what's in the brain.
