Portland, anyone?
Leading off with the Nevilles, Yellow Moon.
-
Aerosmith

Never a good sign when "Yellow Moon" is the TOTHC. I might be bailing in the next few minutes unless we get some Cure or TFF.

It's what Clapton does best: rip into a blues classic.
BOS.

Where'd everybody go?
VHM, Dancing in Heaven.

also used as the "climactic" end song to the dance-off in the film "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" starring Helen Hunt, Shannen Doherty and Sarah Jessica Parker. Ah, 1989...

Unfortuantely, "all" is not many folks today since this is a "classic 10at10", and many people don't bother to comment on reruns. Monday'll be better. How'd you find your way here?
-
Oh my, when this Annie Lennox song (or is it Eurythmics) came on, I was sure it was Bryan Ferry. He could do this one.

Glad I had a 10:00 meeting.

further fueling the theory that we get late '80s sets as classics so Dave doesn't have to hear 'em.
"Crystal Light", Dave.
I realize last week was one of Dave's best/most consistent ever, but he was basically 2-for-5 this time around (only '79 and '72 were truly worthy). No marathon for me tomorrow. Now off to CGSS for an hour, then KRSH Soul Patrol!
-
I happened to tune past KFOG just as the '89 set was ending. Dave said "coming up -- maybe the best set of the week..." And of course, I assumed he was gonna say "79" or "72", but he said "1981". Yeesh.
-
I couldn't listen to KFOG at all on Friday. Where was Dave?

6. Q Feel - Dancing in Heaven
Wow, sorry to have missed this one. My friend Dave* put this on a mixtape for me as I was prepping to move from Boston to NYC 3.5 years ago. The A side was the "Hudson River Side" and the B side was the "East River Side." Great, eclectic, sometimes bizarre stuff. (You try transitioning from the Dead's "Mountains of the Moon" to an anime theme to "Day by Day.")
