'84 on 8/4. Bob's '80s excursions tend to be on the dull side, but he's had a good week so far.

We're hearing a lot of Percy from everyone in recent weeks, it seems.  Has the Jack format resuscitated him?

there's a line there about Jacking yer Percy...

If Jack were that influential, we'd be hearing lots of Def Leppard too, no?

BOS Lindsey Buckingham, "Go Insane"!

I always kinda felt that radio thought they owed him a hit, after ignoring "Holiday Road" the previous year.

VHM SRV, but virtually all his stuff from this period is a collective Narada for me; I was listening to mostly alternative radio and NYC AOR didn't pick up on him 'til after his death.

BOS2 to one of my favorite Broooce songs, and BOS3 to the underappreciated "I'll Wait," perhaps DLR's most restrained (dare I say "adult"?) vocal.

OMG! EJ puts on his Sassons, er, "Sad Songs". BOS4 for a track from a period of his career Dave consistently ignores.

Bleah, WOS to "Drive," a song I never could enjoy.

I'll forgive him the hideous bridge and even more hideous video.  SS never seemed to me one of his stronger efforts, though it is quite the earworm.

It's also the first example I can remember of a song and a commercial being written simultaneously.

That was one of Bob's best '80s efforts in quite some time.
