Instantly recognizable character actor. Not mentioned in this obit, but he was also the vicious So. Korean Army Captain who took a prisoner out of the 4077 M.A.S.H. over Hawkeye's objections (he knew Mako's character was going to torture the prisoner, probably to death) and CBS got a special dispensation from the FCC to allow Hawkeye to call him "a son of a bitch" during primetime. Long since overshadowed by what goes on these days, but back then it was a big deal.
