they use the same female announcer as KBCO to say the year; they just borrowed one of Dave's Reagan clips.

And Queen's "Crazy Little Thing" is a rather predictable choice -- channeling Dave there too

Woo Hoo! BoTZ, "Skateaway"! Willing to bet nothing Dave will play will trump this.

Agreed, and here's a nice Seger song that Dave never plays, "Against the Wind".  Although for me at least this is pretty much the last good song before he became more interested in his sustaining own success than in carving out new territory.

..wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then...

It is sounding nice today. many considered this LP the beginning of the end; too much Eagles influence etc.  There are bright spots here and there thru the '80s but generally I agree with ya.

BOS Raging Bull.  "Did you f--k Vickie? DID YOU F--K VICKIE?"

BOS 2 Stevie, we jammin' wit de Masta Blasta, mon.

at the time a friend of mine who preferred feel-good Stevie to political Stevie, said "what's with this Zimbabwe shit?"  I still think of that every time I hear the song.

"just like that old man in that book by Nabokov" -- speaking of unlikely name-dropping in rock songs.

I'm thinking it's a theme set, possibly listener-generated (are they called Kinkyheads?).  BTW they did a Devil set on 6/6/6 too:

Mark Knopfler : Devil Baby
Chris Isaak : Speak Of The Devil
Elvis Presley : (You're The) Devil In Disguise
Cliff Richard : Devil Woman
INXS : Devil Inside
Mitch Ryder & Detroit Wheels : Devil With Blue Dress
Grateful Dead : Friend Of The Devil
Charlie Daniels Band : The Devil Went Down to Georgia
Van Halen : Runnin' With The Devil
The Rolling Stones : Sympathy For The Devil
