can't think of a less auspicious start to the week: 1988, beginning with The Travelling Katrinaburys. End of the Line, indeed.
-
I'm using this occasion to check out KINK -- they're doing 1980, sounds like: Jackson Browne "On the Boulevard".
-
ooh! jackson browne! i cant wait!
snark.
under the milky way.

Fast car
is the forum working OK for the rest of you?
-
ooh. fast car. take me away to aar and bee land.
-
Wilbury's, Church & Chapman, not an auspicious beginning. Wonder if Dave was like me & stayed out unilt midnight & couldn't get to sleep until 1:30.
-
ugh. nothing, nothing, NOTHING worse than tomorrow people. except maybe fyc.

It's loading a bit slow, but otherwise OK.
-
Woo Hoo (on the KINK)! BoTZ, "Skateaway"! Willing to bet nothing Dave will play will trump this.

tomorrow people, where is your pants?

Been to busy to navigate over to KINK, but this has been one katrina after another. Now it's the customary CH, BBHS. Dave must have had a good weekend, too busy to put any thought into this set.
-
the devil is inside a crowded house.
LOL!
-
bos to jane~s addiction.
missed it , what did he play?
i forget. the coming down song. something about an aeroplane. i can~t think over all the humdrum in this crowded house.
-

that must be "Coming Down the Mountain", truly sorry to have missed that. Probably the only thing saving this set from utter irrelevance.

Yep, that was it. That and the Smithereens, Only a Memory. Not a particularly auspicious effort today.
-
This set is only a memory of what Dave can do when he feels like it.
ETA: Despite what Dave said about voter turnout (and a pox on any Foghead who votes for CH for the next calendar year!), you can tell from his lackluster back-announce that he wasn't into it.
KINK has still got "Don't Stand So Close To Me" going, wonder what their back announce sounds like.

Wow. I officially join late last week. First some topics disappear then a hacker takes over on Saturday. I had to re-register. I'm fortunate I read the reply to my question about Katrina before it disappeared.
Regarding this set. I usually like the 80's over any other decade, which I know makes me different since I seem to sense that most of you like the early 70's. It probably has to due the fact I grew up in the early 80's. But this 1988 set was pretty bad. The only song I really would like is what you folks call a Katrina - Traveling Wilburys.

Hopefully we can keep this up longer this time. We had never been hacked like that before. Mainly we've had trouble with robots posting ads for porno and such, which is part of the reason we go through this whole registration rigamarole.
As the oldest fart here, I enjoy the 60's sets (predictably!) but Dave surprises from time to time.
