I can't remember if Bob Marley was alive in 88!  Played golf yesterday, got baked in the sun, and school sucks!

I love his earliest work so much, the latter stuff is kinda teflon to me.

Indeed. I thought ...High Life was wonderful, and seemed to be quite personal, but this was clearly we-need-a-followup-so-stick-to-the-formula.

VHM Church, "Reptile", mainly 'cause it's not "Metropolis".

Dave goes to the Wishing Well one too many times.

There are definitely echoes of TTD in the vocal on Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy".

and we close (?) with Icehouse, "Electric Blue". All in all, this was quite dull today, except for "Shattered Dreams".

He'd been dead for 5 years, but that couldn't stop the music.

Bigwigs wandering around my office, can't listen or post much.

Me too, but in '88 it gets credit for not being "Under the Milky Way", "Metropolis" is '90.
