Damn, wish I'd caught that.  Distracted with writing previews for the Voice (I'm blurbing James McMurtry! O Happy Day!).

But a VHM to the guitar lick of Marvin Tarplin (on loan from the Miracles, I guess?) on "Doggone."

Unexpected of set: A cover of "Fever" that amounts to "Hang on Sloopy Jr."  It actually works, kinda.  Should I know this?

OMG, The McCoys doing "(Hang On) Fever"! BOS3 (I'll give Marvin G #2) just for novelty.

In the ranks of shamelessly sound-alike follow-ups, this one's way up there.

BOS4 Beatles, "You Won't See Anne Murray"

BOS to the Beatles (yay), "You Won't See Me."  Apparently John Lennon adored Anne Murray's subsequent Top 10 cover.  Macca at his effortlessly perfect-pop-single best.

VHM to "My Generation"; hope I die before another wag makes a crack about Roger Daltrey actually getting old.

(As an aside, the Sweet/Hoffs CD I've been gushing over has a marvy take on "The Kids Are Alright.")

Someone once did an edit job on MG that turned it around to "Hope I get Old before I die".

HM to "You Didn't Have to Be so Nice," another 3WS favorite that I've barely heard since leaving Pittsburgh.

Robbie Williams used that same line as the refrain for one of his songs in the late '90s.  (Which had a great opening line: "In the morning, when I wake up / I look like KISS without the makeup.")

I didn't know that bit about Dean Torrance singing the high falsetto on Barbara Ann.  Gotta love the tidbits Bob gives ya on the back announce.

Have you ever seen You're a Big Boy Now?, the late-'60s comedy that gave us the LS's "Darling Be Home Soon"? A lost gem, worth seeking out.

I'm afraid not.  My list of movies to catch up on is so long, and so unlikely to be satisfied in the near term, that I don't even add to it anymore.  Some day when the publishing company gives me a big advance to write a book, I'll compile a list of 100 movies to catch up on and proceed in earnest.
