thanks! i'll take the mother hips, instead, please. hell, i'd even take tea leaf green over the 'hawks.
gak! it's 10,000 merchants! i loved this album, and "candy" was a great single. but...gosh, i forgot what my "but" was. hey! hey!

Totally. I was wrapping up my post on last night's American Idol finale.
I don't dislike Natalie Merchant to the point that I'll switch channles when she pops up, but I really don't get excited about anything beyond the first 10,000 Maniacs album.

If lust and hate is the candy -- then I'm just a big ol' chocaholic.

BOS Urge Overkill!!
-
"You think there are men in this country who ain't seen your bosoms?"
BOS #2 Urge Overkill.

i'm choking on my bakkeljauw sandwich. that's more than a bit blasphemous. :)
i hated this cover at the time (the pulp fiction one). it still makes me itch.

I'm with Mark on that one. That "this child will be gifted" song (which KFOG played this morning, TANC) used to annoy the crap outta me.
BOS2 Lyle Lovett.
-
vhm: lyle lovett!! this set is too random to vote for bos yet. i think there are surprises waiting.

that's a solo maniac, dude. :)

Lyle brings me up to BOS #3 already, but unlike him I ain't been to Memphis.

you ain't missed much.

VHM Matthew Sweet "Divine Intervention", see I think I actually like him, it's just taht Dave plays the crap out of exactly two of his songs.
-
"You think there are men in this country who ain't seen your bosoms?"
well, we know more men have seen Madonna's than have seen Rosie's
-
polaroids? ginger rocks!
-
in the context of our earlier conversation about bosoms, this U2 song is cracking me up.
-
bos: toad the wet sprocket, because this album is fab. i wish someone would play the judybats someday, though!
-
despite KFOG oversaturation, This TTWS song is a wonderful pop single.
-
would that all 1992 sets be this painless!
-
BOS The Player!
"Further Bond Losses Push Dow Down 7.5 - I see Connery as Bond."
-
Maybe I'm getting jaded with Dave, or I'm still too adoring of Ginger, but even his retreads like Poi Dog sound better when Ginger plays them.

Certainly superior to the usual Morey Katrinafest, even if we're finishing up with one of his faves: Poi Dog Ponderous.

i suppose we're all saying the same thing. :)

Tomorrow: shameless self-promotion... a "running" theme for some race they sponsor. Manfred Mann's "The Runner", anyone? Or maybe "Man in Motion"?

they could play jb's "running on empty" for the losers.
running down a dream
run, baby, run (sheryl crow)
you better run
marathon

Just as long as they eschew "Run, Joey, Run"!
