I expect to be doing that very thing (proceding down Wardour Street, hopefully not contravening a breach of the peace) in a week or so.

Are you referring to "D.O.A." by Bloodrock? ("Iiiiiiii remember / We were flying low, and hit something in the air ...") A real uplifter. I put it next to "Turn-Down Day" on a mix once.

Do you remember a band called Sweet Thursday? they had a song called "Gilbert St" ("get your ticket on the Central line...") that was big on FM prog radio in the early '70s. That's another one I thought of often when I was in London.
